Verdens.lv (hereinafter "we", "us", "us", "our") undertakes to process only such personal data as is necessary for the conduct of our business activities, the fulfilment of the requirements of laws and regulations, as well as provision of the legitimate interests. We process your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation and other laws governing the processing and protection of personal data.
We have taken the necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data, which ensures that your personal data is protected from accidental disclosure, alteration or other unlawful processing.
Purposes of personal data processing
We identify your name, surname, telephone number, email address, residence address and billing information in order to identify you as the buyer and consignee, to invoice, to secure delivery of the goods and to fulfil other obligations under this Agreement.
We process your full name and email to ensure business and administrative communication with you, such as purchase confirmation, purchase reminder, or delivery details.
In order to provide you with answers to your questions, we process the personal information you provide voluntarily – such as your name, surname, telephone number and e-mail address, as well as other information you provide to our staff, by telephone or electronically. Your personal data will only be used to contact you and to answer your questions, comments or suggestions.
Retention period of personal data
We will retain your personal data for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes of such processing, unless a longer retention is required or permitted by applicable law. If the data is processed on the basis of your consent, the data will be processed while your consent is valid and not withdrawn.

In order to fulfil our obligations to you, we may transfer your personal data to our partners, data controllers who perform the necessary data processing on our behalf, such as IT infrastructure developer and maintainer, marketing agencies, leasing companies, courier services, etc. These companies are required by law and our Collaboration Agreement to protect and process your personal data only for the purposes we have stated.
Upon request, we may transfer your personal data to state and law enforcement agencies to defend our legal interests when compiling, filing, and defending legal claims, if necessary.
Place of processing of personal data
We mainly process your personal data in Latvia and your personal data is not transmitted or processed in a country outside the EU / EEA.
We do not provide services to minors. In the event that we become aware that we have obtained and processed minors' personal data, we will take appropriate action to delete that personal information.
Your rights regarding the processing of personal data
You have the right, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the legislation of the Republic of Latvia:
- to have access to your personal data and to receive information on their processing;
- to request the correction of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- to delete your personal data ("be forgotten"), unless required by law to retain your data;
- to withdraw the prior consent to the processing;

- to apply to the Data State Inspectorate.
