This cuvée of 90% Syrah and 10% Grenache expresses the typical Syrah of the southern Rhône area. Grenache remains quite unnoticed, as it dominates all the most important properties of Syrah. The taste is black fruit, especially blackberry, as well as notes of sweet spices and licorice. Minerality complements this profile, giving it depth and intensity. The four-week maceration has created a full-bodied wine with a lot of strong tannins. Maturity has given it an extraordinary quality, which shows its slow evolution and promising aging potential. The wine is unfiltered. Great for grilled meat or stew.
