This wine is high class, really hard to find anything better in the region. The smell is amazing with lots of red fruit and raisin notes, as well as licorice and a little espresso and vanilla. Wonderful - it should smell like Primitivo di Manduria! Spices, juiciness, chocolate. The vintage shows very pronounced hints about sweet, dried grapes. Lots of fruit sweetness, but fresh acidity and mild, very ripe tannins. A very juicy wine that makes you want to taste it again and again. Hat off, this is the typical Primitivo di Manduria at the highest level!
