Fine complex fruit, full-bodied and long on the palate, mineral, spicy and floral finish. A versatile accompaniment to fish, poultry, pasta and white meat. Manual harvest and selection, spontaneous fermentation, aging in 800 liter wooden barrels for 10 months on the full lees. The hand-picked grapes for this mineral Chardonnay, which were vinified for the first time in the 2015 vintage, come from the 0.4 hectare “Bergschmallister” in the lower part of the Joiser Tannenberg, where the slate is covered with a lot of lime. An ideal location for Chardonnay.
