Entry of a new cuvée on the southwestern wine market: Prephylloxeric Vines from the Plaimont Producers, in the Saint Mont appellation. It is a rare cuvée. (A vine can be called prephylloxera from the time it was planted before the appearance of phylloxera). Paradoxically, this new cuvée pays tribute to a very old vine heritage, which can be found in Saint-Mont and Madiran, the appellation located in the south. These are non-grafted vines that are over a century old, very old tannat vines that were isolated for this experiment which gave rise to this cuvée de Vignes Préphylloxera. The vinification takes place in barrels, which has the effect of marking the wine. The fruit could fade behind this woody veil, yet we perceive a fruit that possesses freedom and great spontaneity.
