Description

The whole history of the vineyard is revealed on this bottle. Inspired by labels dating from the 1900s, this new iconic cuvée reveals a sober and timeless style. It is also distinguished by its Burgundy bottle, identical to those of the first bottling of the cellar in 1950. This new benchmark cuvée from the Cave de Crouseilles, which was originally written as Crouzeilles, is a cuvée with an evocative name that inspires the magnificent hillsides surrounding the cellar and on which the "Ophrys Abeilles" orchids grow. The color of this wine is garnet red, intense and deep. The nose is complex and elegant with hints of black fruits. On the palate, the attack is frank on freshness, with good tension. An elegant, balanced and opulent wine like the Madirans, greeted by a long lingering finish. This wine will pair perfectly with a seven-hour leg of lamb, a shoulder of lamb roasted with thyme flower or even typical Gers dishes such as a juicy duck breast with a wild blackberry sauce.
